The History
| The company ARMORIQUE DIFFUSION was created on 8th of April 1980 under the name ACCASTILLAGE DIFFUSION ( meaning : superstructure diffusion), a pioneer in the self-service distribution of equipment and materials for sailboats and motorboats. |  |
Very quickly the company delivered sailboats built by the Accastillage Diffusion group, the famous AD700, on the TORTAROLO design. The move to the present site took place in 1983 on a plot of 1500 m2 and a building of 250 m2. The opening of a workshop and the building of a second hangar of 1000 m2 on an adjacent plot followed within 2 years. The participation in the national and international speedboat trials gave us a very strong speedboat business image and encouraged us to distribute different ranges of sport motorboats, such as CARRERA from PYRANHA in Belgium, RING 21 from RING POWERCRAFT in United Kingdom followed by imported brands more GT such as DARRAGH (Ireland) and FLETCHER (United Kingdom). At the beginning of the 90s an opportunity arose to import the Swedish brand UTTERN BATAR for distribution in France under the brand EAGLE using a network of agents. At the same time we imported the American range AQUASPORT which are large open decked with walkarounds, manufactured in Florida to the sportfisher design. All these boats were delivered with SUZUKI motors. In 1997 the brand BENETEAU became available in the area Auray, La Trinité, Quiberon , and the decision was taken to become the exclusive distributor. Consequently the team has been strengthened to the today's 14. Three people consist the management and the administration, 5 people consist the sales and 6 for the technical service. A new plot of land of 1500 m2 was then acquired with a building of 200 m2 for the preparation of new boats. A sale office at the port of Quiberon (Port Haliguen) was opened in 2002, in order to offer a local service on the peninsula.
Throughout these years, ARMORIQUE DIFFUSION has not stopped to progress in all its sectors of activity, boats and equipment sales, and services. We have been authorised dealers since the beginning for the brand SUZUKI Marine for outboard motors, then HONDA Marine. We are also distributors of diesel and petrol inboard engines brands VOLVO PENTA, YANMAR et NANNI Diesel.The whole staff, whether commercial or technical follows annual training by the suppliers to update their skills.
Besides we have been distributing the brand BOMBARD since 1980, with its highly reputed inflatable semi-rigids, other craft and life rafts.
